Habit
3-4ft tall and 2ft wide. 2” daisy-like flowers are deep crimson, with yellow and crimson undersides. They bloom prolifically from early summer through frost.

Sun/Soil
Full sun, well-drained soil.

Germination/Sowing
Seeds can be direct sown in fall or spring. They can also be started in flats in the spring and then transplanted out once soil has warmed and all danger of frost has passed. 

Growing/Care
The plants are extremely drought tolerant and need little care.

Harvesting
The aerial parts are harvested during the blooming period.

Culinary Uses
Edible flowers.

Medicinal Uses
Coreopsis is used to treat diabetes, infections, and gastrointestinal upset.

Other Uses
Flowers produce a yellow or red dye.

Excellent in cut flower arrangements.
