Full sun, well-drained fertile soil.

Germination/Sowing
Seeds can be direct sown 6 weeks before frost and will handle light frost once sprouted. They also can be started early in flats and transplanted out. They transplant well.

Growing/Care
Water regularly for big productive vines. The vines are not drought tolerant and will become stunted without regular watering every few days during the hot season. The vines climb by tendrils and need a fence or trellis for support, or can be left to sprawl along the ground or a low wall.
